ISO 17534-4 Test Cases for CNOSSOS-EU

The dBmap.net Noise Mapping Tool has been assessed using the international standard ISO 17534-4 titled:

“Acoustics – Software for the calculation of sound outdoors – Part 4: Recommendations for a quality assured implementation of the COMMISSION DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/996 in software according to ISO 17534-1” (https://www.iso.org/standard/72115.html)

This assessment is specifically for the general method CNOSSOS-EU. For the general method ISO9613-2, the necessary document for assessment is ISO17534-3.

Test Cases (Scenarios)

Below are some test cases from the ISO 17534-4 standard that you can verify for yourself.

In the test cases, an obstacle is only included in the lateral path when it is intersecting the direct line of sight. However, this is not the case for the lateral path finder in dBmap.net, where all obstacles are included and lateral paths do not pass through them. Because of this difference some test cases have been omitted.
